Similar as in steroids and/or pain meds, antibiotics etc?
Hello,
The girl that I love just recently came back from the doctor and is being tested for Lupus. She has the most common symptom of Lupus (Painful/swollen joints and muscle pain), and she is still fairly young at 24. She is worried that she may have the disease mainly because her cousin had discovered it at the same age. She is equally afraid that she may never be able to have kids (which is what brings her the most happiness in her life).
What’s odd is that she doesn’t have many of the other symptoms of Lupus, such as fevers, butterfly rashes, sensitivity to the sun, hair loss, swollen glands, etc.
Are there any other possible conditions that could share the same symptoms of lupus, but is not lupus?
we all have different doctors and all 3 different doctors referred us to a rheumatoid doctor.i feel it just cant be coincidental ,does anyone else think this?could it be anything else or place?
I’ve seen various sites talking about bipolar disorder and lupus, or severe depression and lupus, and I know that I, personally, was treated for bipolar disorder before they found out I was LA+. (I don’t have lupus, I’m RO-, but I have lots of lupus-related symptoms, so I’m being treated for them.) I was just wondering, how common is it for people who have lupus to have emotional issues as well?
Hi, after many breakouts/crisis related to lupus, a friend of mine was finally laid out from her job. She now is clinging on to the hope to be declared permanent disabled to then get entitled to pension/early retirement benefits. I am just not sure that lupus classifies as cause of permanent dissability. Is it? Have you or anyone you know affected by this condition been declared disabled and entitled to retirement because of lupus?
there is nothing they can do to help me. Does anyone have any suggestions to relieve any of the symptoms? I have aching joints in my fingers, wrists, ankles, and toes. I get very fatigued and Never feel rested. I have muscle fatigue in my arms and legs. Low grade fevers that last days or weeks. When I get an infection of any kind it takes weeks of taking antibiotics to get rid of it. I’ve had pluerisy twice this past year. I get the butterfly redness if I am out in the sun for more than i few minutes and I get a red rash on my eyelids. HELP
I’ve had all the blood work.. the one for Lupus comes back above normal level which is why they think I have beginning stages of Lupus. My prob is that they say there is nothing they can do for me at this point except keep an eye on my symptoms. I take Imetrex for the migraines and take Ibuprofen for the pain(doesn”t help much) just thought someone might have more suggestions as to how to handle this condition
My doctor said that I am at risk or premature birth or still birth.
What makes pregnancy dangerous to Lupus patients. Why would lupus cause stillbirth???
Now, I am worried.
How do you get it? Is it genetic? Is it a terminal disease? What are the symptoms? I don’t have it, but I hear about it quite a lot and I’m wondering just what it is exactly. TIA! Have a good one
I’ve been having problems with my thyroid,(swelling ,rapid heartbeat) I just had an ultrasound but i haven’t learned the results yet. Just wondering if that’s a symptom of Lupus because i have several symptoms of that also, I’m not paranoid or anything I just don’t want to miss anything. Thanks for your answers!
