I have tested positive for lupus, and I have many lupus symptoms. My doctors believe I may have lupus, but I have not been officially diagnosed with lupus. All of my family members are very healthy. No one in my family has any illnesses. No one in my family has ever had any type of autoimmune disease. I am the first and only person. Is this possible and how could this be?

I was diagnosed with Lupus 7 years ago and am 50 years old. I have bad times especially 2 years where I could not get out of a chair or drive a car. I am doing better now but there are flair ups. I was just told by a lady that her cousin was the longest lupus survivor. They had the disease approximately 30 years. They were diagnosed at 21 and died at 51. I know that it has a lot of negative affects. I have no insurance, went to the doctor was diagnosed went a month later and it was worse. I did not go back because I actually cannot afford it and actually of the people that I know of that have it and go regularly to doctors, I am doing better than them. What exactly does it affect? Are there medications over the counter to help? Thank you.

apparently, someone close to me, who is 14, has been diagnosed with Lupus disease. We’re going to go to a few other doctors to get some more opinions. Not for sure yet.

But on average how long does this disease let you live? 5? 10? 15? 20 years?

I am about 9 weeks pregnant and I cannot take my medication to help prevent the rash. Every day about 2 hours after I wake up I get a flare up on my hands, arms, legs, ankels, neck and chest and they seeming to get worse. Is this normal? I can’t get into my dermatologist for 2 weeks and none of my other doctors will touch the lupus issue. HELP!

I have a friend who has a blood clot in each leg due to a form of Lupus. Now she has lots of clots in her toes and foot. She is seeing a team of doctors at Johns Hopkins Hospital, but they have never seen a case like hers. Has anyone had anything similar or know anything about this type of lupus. She is in a lot of pain and needs help/relief. She is on a blood thinner, but that isn’t helping either. They have tried tons of medications, none are working.
